A couple of weeks ago, not knowing of the challenges you all were facing, I posted a "Feature" report to the bug tracker. It was a minor thing, and at the time, it wasn't real clear if it was a missing feature or a bug.
I had a chance to look into it further today, and it appears to fall more into the category of a bug. I updated the report with the solution to this problem. I thought I'd post a note here, too, though, to try to bring it to the attention of whoever implements these fixes -- in this case, I would guess Jon Tibble -- so he might be more likely to notice it and include it in future releases.
