But this is a good idea only if we are ready to rip Studio support. Are
we agree on this?

There's currently no other option in sight, but that
switch should be done carefully not to kill commercial
software in use. There should be workarounds at hand
if necessary (e.g., having the Studio compiled libraries
somewhere as a separately installable package, if feasable).
