The especially odd thing about your graphs is that it did NOT show the effect I 
thought it would, which is a fairly constant time per image until the cache 
hits the maximum, after which there is additional overhead. It appears to grow 
in expense with each image right from the start.

I'll see if I can reproduce this on my end as well.
