There are times that it would be helpful for users to rely on wildcard expansion, but unlike Unix (Linux/MacOS), you can't count on Windows shells to do the expansion for you.
I was reading a bit about this and found: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/8bch7bkk.aspx This seems to imply that in the src/oiiotool/CMakeLists.txt, we could just add this special '/link setargv.obj' and the resulting oiiotool would magically expand its command line wildcard arguments in argv. But... I'm so not a windows programmer, and can't easily test it, either. Where does setargv.obj live? Is it on every Windows system? Does it work just like on that example command they showed, or would I need a complete path? If the latter, to where? Does this make enough sense for anybody out there with Windows chops to tell me exactly what to do, or to try it themselves and submit a PR? -- Larry Gritz [email protected] _______________________________________________ Oiio-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openimageio.org/listinfo.cgi/oiio-dev-openimageio.org
