you have the same problem i'am having. You need to be able to use multiple
aliases on the same table in a query. Therefore you need to be able to
assign 
'aliases' to criteria objects (using the PB API) and so telling them
to use the same alias in their respictive where-clauses. In your example, 
one criteria uses no alias and the other uses 'PARENT'.

Currently OJB does not support this. I myself use OJB 0.9.7 and patched it
so it supports
this feature. I send this path to Jakob Braeuchi so he can have a look at it
and i am
hoping it will be integrated in the next release.
