I assume you are talking about Jakarta Slide?

Jakarta Slide is a CMS engine which provides it's own abstraction of JDBC backends.

OJB is an Object/Relational mapping tool.

SLIDE and OJB have nothing to do with each other.

Of course it could make sense to replace the Slide persistence mechanism by OJB. Currently Jakarta Jetspeed is already migrating to OJB.
But I don't know of such plans for Slide. You should asked the Slide team about their plans!
