Hi all,

How are the elements foreignkey, inverse-foreignkey and extent-class interpreted in the context of table-mapping strategies (Distinct table per class in hierarchy, Entire class hierarchy mapping to one table, Table per sub-class without FK and Table per sub-class with FK) and criteria queries ?

I am a bit confused as it seems that both the foreignkey and inverse-foreignkey elements are mutually-exclusive to extent-class element. In the sense if foreignkey or inverse-foreignkey element(s) is/are present in the class-descriptor, the extent-class element(s) is/are not and vice-versa.

Thanks and Regards,
Gautam.
