First : you don't  need ant installed already because it comes with ojb in 
lib directory.

I think that you maybe started build.bat in "ojb/bin" directory, but you 
should call build.bat from "ojb" directory by typing :
         C:>bin\build.bat
In this way the classpath to the library jar's (including ant) will be 
corectly set.
