At the moment we are just using HSQL, but we will eventually be using DB2
v7.1 for OS/390 ... that should prove to be an interesting test for OJB!

Last night I refactored our existing Persistence layer to use the
PersistenceBroker API instead of the ODMG API, and the error no longer
occurs.  I must admit that so far, I like the Persistence Broker API much
better.
