As people on this list may already be aware the UK Government’s public
sector data site launched last week (in a private beta):

This is already good news, but even better is that they are using CKAN
as its backend for storing all their dataset info!

PS: though CKAN is being used by data.gov.uk right now, no uk gov
datasets have appeared publicly on http://ckan.net/ itself as the beta
is "closed" - but we expect this to change just as soon as data.gov.uk
goes officially public …
