Hi all,

if you concentrate on hacking Eurostat environmental / energy data tomorrow -
please take into account
http://data.reegle.info (data portal with clean energy data) - maybe you can
match / map / mash up etc
Eurostat data with clean energy data from reegle - thanks & cheers!

Hi all,

Just a quick ping to let everyone know about the Eurostat Hackday,
which will take place in several European cities (including Amsterdam,
Athens, Berlin, Edinburgh and London) this coming Thursday 16th
December:

http://eurostat.okfn.org/

Several of us (at the London event) will be focusing on
energy/environmental data.

We'd warmly welcome anyone from the list to participate in the event.
If you aren't close to one of the locations or you can't make it in
person you can also participate virtually via the IRC channel (details
on the link above!).

All the best,

Jonathan

This is great Jonathan. It's not been decided collectively in any way
but I would like to focus on migration data in Edinburgh.

I'm also putting up a Sage instance for OKFN (it's like piratepad but
for math and statistics -- see http://www.sagemath.org/) and will try
to have some instructions and examples reading data from eurostat (the
SPSS files).

Cheers,
-w

Hi,

I'll be in Edinburgh and likely work on extending our live wrapper [1], and
would like to look into regional stats (i.e., more detailed than country
resolution). I'd be also interested in an interface to SPSS, especially how to
import RDF data.

See you there,
Andreas.
