Hello all, The Open Knowledge Foundation's project "The Public Domain Review" has this week launched it's major fundraising drive!
http://publicdomainreview.org/support/ With our initial funding from the Shuttleworth Foundation now come to an end, we are turning to our readers and the OKF community to help us continue our mission – to promote the public domain as an indispensable public good, and to curate and showcase the most interesting out-of-copyright works on the web. We need to reach a target of $20,000 (ca. £13,000) to keep the project alive into 2014. Now in the 3rd day of the campaign we've raised almost $6000 but still a long way to go! It would be great if you could spread the word as much as possible to your friends, family and colleagues - and, if your feeling generous, of course feel free to donate yourselves!
