It is fine, i guess the problem is you originally installed in your own home with sudo and now the files belong to root, you can remove all the install folder and do it again without sudo or keep using sudo, that's not a problem. > > For the major error of undefined symbol :- > > You were absolutely correct in pointing out the definition of KDEDIRS was > not persisting in the shell.
