Tennant's doubt about whether the IA can maintain things "over the long haul" has a sharp if unstated target—Open Library. He works for OCLC and is one of it's principle public defenders. You can bet your bottom dollar he'll use this against IA in the future, in support of OCLC's contention that only it should have custodianship of library data. Someone should get back to him.
