I would edit this to be:

Although Harry Potter may not be a series in the library-correct sense, giving
users a way to link to all the books in a series is something we can offer in
in OL (assuming that at some point users will be able to search by series, or
click on a series and see all the books in that series). Many series aren't
obviously linked otherwise: they have discrete titles and do not have series
information (such as "Twilight #3") on the cover. I think the series
information is useful that way, as Karen pointed out. But, if I am wrong about
the value of this field and someone is going to go through the records and take
out all the series information so that it matches what you would find in a
library record, let me know and I will stop putting it in. ;-)
