The William Mann etc that I'm interested in is the Mozart, Richard Srauss etc author. There are namesakes and one book on an alien subject may or may not have been wrongly linked with my Mann. That is not yet researched.
I'm hoping that next time I go to edit, that 'Mann, William' will have responded to my efforts to change the format as there is much duplication. ----- Original Message ----- From: Patrick Conley To: Open Library -- general discussion Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 12:51 AM Subject: Re: [ol-discuss] Merging authors I doubt, that this is the same man. Not even "William Mann" is one single person, unless he has a remarkable rage of interests: - 1982 a book about the Operas of Mozart - 1996 he's writing about the Netscape Navigator 3 - 2005 he published the novel "All American Boy" with the imprint "William J. William Mann William S Mann William Somervell Mann Books are listed under all three names. Presumably where the style of name is different, merging is inappropriate?
