It's funny we should be discussing this as I headed out for a weekend road trip in my old '49 and was thinking if maybe I'd been talking out my butt (yet again) about this when the heavens opened up and it began to rain like it never rains in California , I mean 3" of standing water on the freway I was driving on , I had to slow down to 60 MPH it was so bad , cars whizzing past me @ 80 = MPH but my old vacuum wipers slapping back and forth , silently , flipping the water off without any problems at all , made me glad I'd sent my old gummed up vacuum motor off to Ficken Wiper Service a few years ago .
I _GOTTA_ fix my heater and get some Vent Shades too as I needed to drive with the window open tp prevent fogged up windows . -Nate Lee wrote: > > I am sure you are quite right about the wipers.
