I'd say use a 6 point wrench.  18mm perhaps  The top nut and bottom ......one 
is fine threaded nut on a stud, the other bolts in.  Don't remember which is 
which...Never had that problem.  Do make sure everything is unhooked 
electrically, get on it with your wrench.........and growl like a bear!
