Invert both manifolds and look at the diameter of the holes where 
they meet the cylinder head ~ they're smaller on the 216 intake 
manifold and the _will_ leak as the engine goes through it's normal 
thermal cycles .

The carby mounting flange is different too but you can easily get the 
lower portion of the carby and re-use your old one .

Exhaust manifolds are indeed the same and only the angle of the head 
pipe connection differes over the hears .

Get and use , a correct 235 intake manifold or this will come back to 
haunt you in weird runnng problems a erratic idle .
