I have Diamondbacks on my 1950 3100 and love the look and the ride.

Mike, be sure to check out the tires from Diamondback Classics...
http://www.dbtires.com/ They have an excellent reputation, and the tires are
supposed to be extremely good.....rated better than Coker by many people.

Subject: [old-chevy-truck] tires again

I am about ready for tires on my 1940 - ½ ton project. I am using the
original 16 inch rims. Recently there was a discussion about tires. It
seemed that the 215-85R16 was the commonly available option. I would not be
afraid of these at all. But, I am curious, at www.whitewalltire.com
<http://www.whitewalltire.com/> they have 205/75R16 tires, which would seem
to be a better choice for the narrow rims. Also Coker tire offers
reproduction 600X16 reproduction bias ply tires that should look just like
the originals.

I am interested in input from any of you guys who have tried either of the
last two that I mentioned above.

There's obviously some strong opinions on both sides of the 215/85R16 tires.
No point in re-hashing that one again in my opinion. Im just curious about
the other 2.

Thanks

Mike
