Mine run to a clamp on the fender well that holds both under the same metal
clamp. A piece of metal with 2 humps and a bold in the middle. Daron

picky sort of question, but, I like to try to
do things as correctly as I can. I am about to mount the heater into my 1940
½ ton. My question is in regard to the heater hoses. When the truck came
from the factory, how were they routed and / or supported. When I
disassembled the truck, the hoses were just run from the water pump to the
heater nipples with no support. Is that correct, or were they clamped or
supported somewhere between the ends?

I looked at the shop manual, owners manual, and parts manual, hoping to find
a picture, but could not find one. I realize that I can just use some
common sense and come up with a workable answer, but I’m still curious about
how it was done at the factory.

Thanks
