I would add insulation to the roof to fill the gap along with helping noise reduction and heat/cool. Big difference in the quietness inside. Different types are available from the StreetRod shops, and the bubble type (don't use in floor-bubbles may pop) from home improvement centers.
If need be add supports at flex spots so insulation keeps it from flexing. Hope this will help.
