At first glance it looks like these Grouply people have hit every yahoo and Google group they can to promote their website. Their business plan would have to include ADVERTISING on the site, or why would they bother? We are already saturated with advertising and people who advertise the excess advertising tend to annoy me! Personally I can manage all my groups just fine with my email client and I love not having to look at ads.
