Hello again,
I appreciate the replies, it's all helping. In answer to a few comments.
(1)The fan is close to the radiator, about 1/2" to 3/4" away. (2)The radiator
is a 3 row (by opening the cap and counting the tubes). I uploaded a couple
photo's(showing fan clearance and amount of rows) to show under; Mark's 1953
3800 (3)I noticed no coolant showing when I opened the cap. I believe in my
quest to let it seek it's own level it has spit out more than it should.(4) It
does have distilled water and coolant mix (5) I included a "water wetter" in
the mix (6) It has a 180' thermostat in it, the second one in case first was
bad.
I will try tomorrow to double check the timing ( I have done this several
times previous, but not in awhile) I have had the valves adjusted twice in 3800
miles of use but if recommended I could do it again.
Again, thank you for any and all replies. Mark
