I haven't done any thing like this but I have read up on it. Check out the parts houses, give them a call. Mike 50 3100 I am working on final preparations for putting the cab back on my fully restored frame and am installing the radiator bracket. There is no choice where the bracket goes (give or take) so with a 261 engine on the frame, you cant put the radiator back where it was originally on the outside back of the bracket. Ive seen hundreds of these trucks butchered up to make a 235 or 261 fit but with this truck being pristine, I cant just get out a pair of tin snips. So, I am installing the radiator INSIDE the bracket and just up against the front inside. I am welding a special track onto the inside of the bracket so the radiator easily slides in and out. Please stop me if you know of a more elegant way. Once I have done this, I will have to do some special sheet metal cutting to the hood latch assembly pan and the lower pan but thats no big deal. Anyhow, I would love to hear how anyone else accomplished this before I start hacking away. Also, the fan is now about 2-2-1/2 inches away from the radiator. (Rather large gap). Is that a cooling system problem waiting to happen? Thanks everyone! I know there is a short shaft water pump, but even with that already on, the radiator has to be moved forward!?
