When I restored my 50 3600 I took off the steering wheel, repaired the cracks
and repainted it. It looks like a brand new one for about $25. Vern

Hi, I am looking for info on the original 1951 Chevy 3100 steering wheel
color - after markets I have found all seem to be black, but I see color
  on my original steering wheel.

  thanks, Don
