Ok, Just did a valve job on a co-workers Olds, 93 Cutlass, 3.3L. MPI
Compression is a lot better, had breached gasket between #2 and #4
was down to 70 psi in each, I was told due to overheating, now have 140 and 150
all around, I have installed new wires, Fuel pressure is 44psi,
Plugs look good, bosch platinums, kinda brownish/black.. only have about 10k
miles on them. The problem: off idle acceleration hesitation, lacks power.
Injector test: Single pulse test: (actron tester) shows dropoff of 14psi on each injector. Multiple pulse test: dropoff of 3-4 psi on each. The DIS coil pack apparently has some damage due to an accident(car is salvaged) one coil cannot be tightened to the mounting screws are stripped in the ignition module,, still plugs in and seems tight, still makes spark,
BUT,,, How do you test to make sure that it is making enough spark?
I aint holding it either,, :):) I have externally tested the spark, and it shows
blue and orange,,, So am I missing something.. ??
