I sent Mr. Smarty Pants an Ebay message, quoting Mr. Crowdis (w/o
acknowledgement) and at the end "just don't call me an a**hole, or tell
me to take my thumb out of my a**, ok?" - his reply is below.

Q: The car has been repainted because it is a frame on restoration. I
know that a factory option when new is probably different than being
added after a restortation. Either way it looks good and shouldn't
matter. Sorry for the mis-understanding. Since you brought this to my
attention, I have found others on e-bay with the stripe in the same
place. You just don't need to be so critical. I responded the way I did
because I felt like I was being attacked personally.
