The red cap is a R-134A fitting in the stock hi-side port.  The system
looks like a standard R-4 small-block setup with a possibly
non-stock/possibly original dryer in a custom black case.

I don't know these cars specifically, do the heater core hoses normally
enter the firewall outboard of the evaporator core?  I'm used to seeing
them inboard...

anywho, system probably does work, just "resto rodded", just like the
rest of the car
