there are no freebies in life, however - if it's priced significantly
below market value, and since you are looking at it as an investment, i
would be doubly certain that there is no hidden rust, bondo, wavy
quarters etc.

Leave a deposit and your driver's license and take it to your shop and
put it up on the rack.
