Hi Ham!

Thanks for this! I hope you are settling in your new role in the family
business. I'm so glad we finally met! How are things with you?

By the way, is this document available in the wiki already? Does it have
hardware dependencies to our own XS infrastructure set-up? If not, can this
be put on the wiki?

I think our plan was to push for XS and Moodle on the second half of the
deployment. We'll give the teachers at least 5 months to just get used to
using the default Sugar activities or what other additional activities they
see that they could apply for their use. We would, at the very least need
the XS to log-in all the serial numbers of the XOs on the onset of
deployment. We'll check in with the teachers after the adjustment period to
see if they'd like to proceed to using Moodle. By all indications they are
at least very excited to use the assessment portion of Moodle (making their
own quizzes and randomizing the answers and questions) and seeing the
feedback.

Based on the teachers' reactions and what we talked about during the
training, Moodle and lesson creation may be a bit too much too soon for them
to do in the beginning of the deployment. They expressed the ease of use of
Write, Etoys (book and paint objects), Record (cut and paste of pictures to
Write and Etoys) and Memorize, Chat and Speak. Online Browse is still in
question.

I'm copying Lloyd on this email to see if we can in fact at least run the XS
in the background with adequate wifi/internet support.

Thanks again Ham!

Regards,
Cherry
