Hello everyone,

as discussed in Prague we all agreed that localization is an important
topic to have OpenMandriva adapted to local language differences.

I just finished uploading the strings from the Mandriva 2011 release to
our Transifex.com platform.

Mandriva SA's transifex platform can be found at:

http://transifex.mandriva.com

and you should find everything that has been contributed until the 2011
release there.

I did the upload of the .po source files (English) manually and noticed
that there was a strong interest from Italian community so I created an
Italian team.

https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/openmandriva-linux/language/it/

Unfortunately there are no coordinators yet. I also approved four other
requests for new languages.

To anyone interested in translation and localization, transifex is a
great platform but I honestly do not know how we get the translated
strings to the developers. Apparently they use "git pull" or something
like this.

As we also discussed in Prague to have a new installer and maybe a new
MCC as well, developers please do send your .po-file files (English) to
me so I can put them on there and we can have international localisation
up and running.

Have a good week-end.

Best wishes,

Maik "tapwag" Wagner
