Thanks, splash=silent works. Now if I could get rid of that irritating
start job...

Yes splash=silent is set up in grub configuration files, and after
installation /etc/default/grub is overwritten by calamares. This is a
known bug reported on upstream bugzilla.

secure boot. Computer has SATA 6.0 GBS and USB 3.0. Fastest
computer I've ever owned. OMLx 2015 LXQt installed from USB 3.0
flash drive in Live mode then updated system for Calamares to
work. Installed without error or problem. Yeah! openSUSE and
LinuxMint both installed in less than 3 minutes. Wow. Didn't time
OMLx install but it was minutes as well.
OS's installed so far:
openSUSE 13.2 KDE4
LinuxMint 17.1 Cinnamon (for someone else I don't use this one)
OMLx 2015 pre-ALPHA LXQt
OMLx and SUSE both do this when booting:
"A start job is running for
dev-disk-by\x2uuid-355523f2\x2d727a\x2d4783\x2d9e8e\x2d031ec3e09af2.device
(xxs 1min 30s)"
What the heck is that? Anyway I can get it to stop running? If so
systems would boot in seconds. Is it possible I enabled something
in BIOS that would start this???
Also OMLx using OMLx Grub2 loader Plymouth doesn't work. Does that
need "splash=silent" to
'/etc/default/grub>GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT?
