Not to be all that too much of an anal pedantic, but that's a bit misrepresentation, isn't it? After all, regardless of what "they say", ultimately we will only follow what we say and decide for ourself, being the ones who's working on these things and would keep doing so as long as we felt it right and someone willing to do it. ;)
So be very careful about giving what could be perceived as false impressions of an actual democracy and the communitie's & OMA's influence through it for this project.. It could easily backfire hard if the project were to like go against what polls & similar democratic aids reveal to be an overwhelming majority of our community users and association members, with consequences such as loosing any remaining credibility, trust and fallouts.. AFAIK if any similar impressions of that kind related to this has been given for this one, they've been rather vague and not seemingly ~intentionally trying to do so. :) So just a friendly reminder and warning to everyone's best interest, over the years, I've been witnessing & experiencing numerous of similar incidents taking place due to poor judgement and experience from past management, not acquainted with nor properly grasping and understanding the culture, trivializing or even completely failing to see tje grave mistakes about to b done (and the actual consequences done and coming from) in advance, while some of spending several years before even possibly seeing, understanding and even publically admit to mistakes (ie. hats off to past Mandriva CEO Francois Bancilhon for publically admitting that he never really properly understood free software before after actually leaving Mandriva;).
