Hi Ben, It should be possible to delete unused entries. If I remember rightly deletion is a two stage process. Try running efibootmgr -b 0005 then run efibootmgr -B 0005. I can't check this but I do remember it being a two stage process so a little experimentation on the unneeded boot entry should get you there.
