Yes, though I don't know if that fits what the Calamares developer is
talking about. It may be that this leads to users being able to
add/remove individual packages. If it could also do package groups
though I think that could be useful.
Don't think this should be a high priority for OMA.

For one reason would be excellent way for those with older hardware
to install only what they need such as task-lxqt or whichever.
Also would perhaps be better for installs for servers or others where
very basic system is desired.
