Chris Rowley asked, a propos of transc1 but the question is more general, " Is A and S a useful reference for 'K-14 users' or software implementors?". Of course, one deosn't expect the K14 USER to read Abramowitz + Stegun, but one ight well expect a developer (at least a mathematical one) to, and indeed be criticised if the branch cuts weren't in accordance (or equally a reference to ISO 10967). This raises the question: do we want to structure the 'description' field more: e.g. <Description> and <FinePrint>, which might then be: <Description> The sine function of trigonometry </Description> <FinePrint> As described in Abramowitz and Stegun, section 4.3, and ISO/IEC 10967. </FinePrint>
