There are actually 7 winners when you get right down to it. Our Grand Wizard
would probably explain this far better than me. Lance Armstrong won the yellow
jersey and was thus considered THE winner of the Tour de France, but here’s the
breakdown:

Individual Winner [yellow jersey] – Bradley Wiggins of Great Britain and Team
Sky

Points Winner [green jersey] – Peter Sagan of Slovakia and Team
Liquigas-Cannondale

Best Climber Winner [polka dot jersey] – Thomas Voeckler of France and Team
Europcar

Youth Winner (under 25) [white jersey] - American Tejay Van Garderen of BMC
Racing Team

In addition to those winners there are:

Best Team – Radioshack-Nissan of Luxembourg

Super Combative Winner – Chris Anker Sorensen of Denmark and Team Saxo
Bank-Tinkoff Bank

The Day’s Winner of Stage 20 – Mark Cavendish of Great Britain and Team Sky

I hope that clears things up.

Cheers!

I thought I heard Bradley Wiggins from Great Britain won?

Peter Sagan, a 22 year old Slovakian, has won the Tour de France on points.
The points competition includes the various points awarded daily for placement
at the end of each days race, intermediate sprints, and the like. This was
Peter's first Tour, can you believe it? We expect to hear from this guy a lot
in future years.

Congratulations Peter!
