devref.xml 329-334: Where it says "Download the installed image (not the full product)," it would be nice to have an additional note. I know this isn't OpenSolaris instructions, but on those systems, it's more dramatic--you can't simply "pkg install sunstudio," even though it's there. Something like "Because ON only switches to a new compiler release after extensive testing, you can't simply download and install the latest compiler release. Instead, you should grab a tarbell of the tested, installed image." This warning is technically already present at line 964, but we're repeating (perhaps) too much info here? And at 964, should the text be augmented to include the "can't just pkg install sunstudio" bit for OpenSolaris? 734: Does this call for a link to Liane's page at http://opensolaris.org/os/project/indiana/building_on/ ? 775-777: OpenSolaris is kind of mentioned multiple times, and I'm not sure that Solaris 10 should be listed here. If so, don't we also need a caveat that you should use a build that is "close to" (formally, within two builds of?) the code you're building? 6506: Premature to change this, perhaps, but will soon be stale info...
