6712855 opensolaris builds no longer possible due to synonyms change
since the Evaluation and Comments are not visible externally, here they are:

It turns out that more recent closed-bins tarballs are available:

Linking with any of the ones that post-date 6700179 should work.
(Yes, the nightly-bins downloads need to be better advertised.)
