Folks

Don't know if this is the right forum, if not could someone cc the
appropriate group please. Many times building kernels has been stuck..
for e.g recent b81/82 arent building when I just clone from mercurial.

- When looking at osol/on/downloads/, for on-closed and BFU archives,
they don't have a version number posted.. say onnv_??. Although the
timeframe is some indication, just explicitly putting that would help
greatly.

- When we do hg update -C onnv_??, the default VERSION in opensolaris.sh
should identify the build version. If the file is reved each time just
looking at the file, and also booting it will have some signature of
what the base build for sources were.

I just realized iam not able to build any new kernels from b80 onwards.
I didn't save my old closed-bins, so its so hard to get a working kernel
now from mercurial.

Cheers,
