You mean you run Solaris inside a virtual box?  AFAIK, the problem with 
ZFS exists when you run ZFS inside a virtualbox; not when you install
virtual box inside a "native" OpenSolaris environment.

I would suggest that you follow my recipe: not check the boot-archive 
during a reboot.  And then report back.  (I'm assuming that that will take 
several weeks)
