As someone who lost a lot of time on SS11 -> 12 switch, +1000000. It sort of belies the whole open concept when the only people that can build the core part of OpenSolaris are Sun employees or people with support contracts (and thus have access to the relevant SS12 patches), even if it's only a temporary condition.
