The integration of:

PSARC 2009/306 Brussels II - ipadm and libipadm
PSARC 2010/080 Brussels II addendum

constitutes a flag-day in the following areas:

BFU:

With ACR already gone and the support for BFU expected to be removed
in a few builds and 'pkg image-update' being the preferred testing
method, the project team didn't add support for backwards BFU. After
you BFU this project bits and manually resolve the conflicts then
one cannot BFU backwards across this flag day.

Incremental Builds:

For incremental builds to work properly, you will need to remove the
following files from your proto area:

   kernel/drv/sctp.conf
   kernel/drv/sctp6.conf
   kernel/drv/sctp
   kernel/drv/sctp6
   kernel/drv/amd64/sctp
   kernel/drv/amd64/sctp6
   kernel/drv/sparcv9/sctp
   kernel/drv/sparcv9/sctp6

Heads-Up:
---------

This project introduces a new CLI utility called ipadm(1M) that can be used to
perform:
   * IP interfaces management (creation/deletion)
   * IP address management (add, delete, show) for static IPv4& IPv6
addresses, DHCP, stateless/stateful IPv6 Address configuration
   * protocol (IP/TCP/UDP/SCTP/ICMP) tunable management (set, get, reset)
global (ndd(1M)) tunables, as well as per-interface tunables.
   * provide persistence for all of the three features above so that on
        reboot the configuration is reapplied.

Please see the case materials of PSARC 2010/080 for latest design document
(http://arc.opensolaris.org/caselog/PSARC/2010/080/materials/brussels2_design.pdf)
and read ipadm(1M) man page for more information.

Bugs against these features should be submitted against
        solaris/network/config
