A while back I started a discussion about the best way to incrementally
build a subset of ON packages and install them on a test system.
The assumption is a nightly was run, all the packages were built and the
test system onu'ed with those bits. What I thought I needed to do to
then install a subset of packages that have modified binaries is:

1. build kerberos binaries with debug options using install target for dmake.
2. cd usr/src/pkg; dmake service-security-kerberos-5.pub
system-security-kerberos-5.pub
3. on the test system do a pkg update

What I see when I do the pkg update -nv is:

# pkg update -nv
Creating Plan -
pkg update: No solution was found to satisfy constraints
Plan Creation: Package solver has not found a solution to update to latest
available versions.
This may indicate an overly constrained set of packages are installed.

latest incorporations:

pkg://install-nightly/consolidation/install/[email protected],5.11-0.173.0.0.0.0.1355:20110816T165311Z

The following indicates why the system cannot update to the latest version:

    Reject:
pkg://install-nightly/consolidation/install/[email protected],5.11-0.173.0.0.0.0.1355:20110816T165311Z
Reason: All versions matching 'incorporate' dependency
pkg:/install/[email protected],5.11-0.173.0.0.0.0.1355 are rejected
      Reject:
pkg://install-nightly/install/[email protected],5.11-0.173.0.0.0.0.1355:20110816T165315Z
Reason: A version for 'require' dependency on
pkg:/package/[email protected],5.11-0.172 cannot be found

The publisher setup is:
# pkg publisher

What am I doing wrong?
