Hi Manoop,

Assuming that sudo permissions have been granted, your script needs to actually
use the sudo command. As of patchset 42
(https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/c/15743/42) it looks like it's still trying to
directly modify /etc/hosts without using sudo.

Thanks,
Gary

Thanks Kishore for confirming.
Hi Jess,
Please let us know if you want to try any other change on Jenkins to get the
sudo access for sed operation. Here is our commit, in case you want to trigger
the Jenkins job again after any changes. https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/c/15743/

Kishore,

Can we please try now and see if the edit to hosts file works? Thanks.

    Manoop,

can you please give this a try again?

Andy from my team has added the hosts the sudo capabilities to the Jekins
user:

https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__gerrit.onap.org_r_-23_c_16921_&d=DwIDaQ&c=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg&r=WrNqy1qTY6qs8trIiLe-U2OvGp0SXnE4nO3a-LJ-q_w&m=4Dncux3OtzuZ8fIZWI_6dA8aIF74iZ_aA9p324bXhKw&s=g1p5i9SduC5zBL3E6bcvtgwLbqm_GerDavWvAkQhXhs&e=

You should be able to edit this file now.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Jess
