To properly debug the problem, could you show the URL and request body used 
with the PUT call?

When the PUT is expected to update an existing object, the URL is required to 
specify the query parameter "?resource-version=xxx" where "xxx" is the value of 
the resource-version property that you GET from the existing object.

If the PUT is expected to create a new object, then you've just discovered that 
the object already exists, despite expectations, so maybe something else is 
going wrong.
