All;
The ONAP project requires that contributions are covered under a Contributor License Agreement for incoming code in addition to a DCO, as per Section 7a of the Technical Charter <https://www.onap.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2018/01/ONAP-Project-a-Ser ies-of-LF-Projects-LLC-Technical-Charter-12-22-2017-FINAL.pdf> . Enforcing this requirement of the Charter is something that the TSC has elected to postpone four times in the past two years. ALL CONTRIBUTORS MUST BE AWARE that CLA enforcement will take effect on Monday, July 8th. Once enabled any contributors, whether corporate or independent, will not be able to commit code unless a signed CLA is on file for the email address associated with the person making the code contribution. In a nutshell, when you go to make a commit if a CLA has not been associated with the Gerrit account you are using, your commit will be blocked and you will be automatically re-directed to the CLA tool. Once signed your address is whitelisted and your commits can continue unimpeded. As CLAs these are legal agreements on May 29th I send out Individual emails to the leadership contacts at 35 different companies. This included Governing Board & TSC members where applicable. That email informed everyone of the upcoming change, the deadlines for action and the steps they needed to take to ensure that developers would still be able to contribute code when the change occurs. In addition the fact that this change is coming has been brought up to the community at large multiple times. The original enforcement date communicated to all was July 1st. That was extended an additional week and now it will occur on Monday July 8th. A status update will be provided at the PTL meeting Monday morning before enforcement is enabled. I have created a wiki page that shows <https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Contribution+Agreements#ContributionAgreem ents-CCLACorporateSign-offStatus> CCLA Corporate Sign-off Status which I strongly encourage all contributors to take a look at. Of the 35 companies contacted, the 12 below have completed all of the necessary steps as of 4PM Pacific July 3rd. They are good to go when we flip the switch and none of their contributors should be impacted. CMCC Deutsche Telekom Huawei IBM OAM Orange Pantheon QCT Samsung Swisscom Verizon ZTE - ALL OTHERS WILL BE BLOCKED UNLESS ACTION IS TAKEN - Please see <https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Contribution+Agreements#ContributionAgreem ents-CCLACorporateSign-offStatus> CCLA Corporate Sign-off Status for details.
