Hi, a discussion has been initiated to add A&AI to the gating.
Gating is used to today for OOM and SO. For SO it means that when a contributor publishes a patch in a SO repository it triggers the following chain ==> build SO docker(s) based on the submitted patchset =====> deploy of an ONAP solution including the docker(s) generated ====> tests (k8s, robot healthcheck, soem E2E tests) => feedback in gerrit the developer can see some processing from ONAP JobDeployer in gerrit (e.g. https://gerrit.onap.org/r/c/so/+/97572) the developer then get feedback on the possible side effects of his/her patchset before merge (same example: https://orange-opensource.gitlab.io/lfn/onap/xtesting-onap-view/results//97572-2/index.html). it takes about 90'. Deployments are executed either on Orange servers or on Azure. During integration meeting, we discussed the opportunity to extend this mechanism (deploy an ONAP on deman on patch submission to validate the patch) for A&AI. This processing corresponds to real CSIT tests as we are testing on target deployment. If A&AI is interested, we need to have a better understanding of the repositories and the build strategy. First of all what ONAP do you need? which components?
