Hi, VJ,

Just read your email sent out earlier. It came across.

Add David, Gaurav and Chuanyu in the loop specifically.

Thanks,

Hi, VJ,

CCVPN and BBS are the ones using RCC and VES Mapper. As long as ONAP maintain
those use cases, those 2 MS may need to be supported and align with any new
architectures, I believe.

Hi Xin - Okay, thanks for letting know. If VES format can be supported
directly, that would be preferred and enable easier integration. It would be
great if you can confirm soon as M1 is next week.

Btw, would you know of any other usecase which might need these services for
Guilin? If so I can check with that owner, otherwise will propose to TSC to
retire them for Guilin.

Thanks,
Vijay

Hi, Vijay,

Our design is to take advantage of Restconf/VES Mapper to collect/convert the
alarm notification from Fujitsu domain controller (Virtuora) in MDONS closed
loop.
Now our new release of Fujitsu Virtuora controller may be capable of sending
TAPI alarms in VES format directly. If that is the case, MDONS CL may use VES
collector directly.

Our team is validating the domain controller VES enabling now. We will update
you soon.

Thanks,

Xin Miao

Subject: RESTConf and VESMapper support in Guilin
Importance: High

Xin,
As discussed earlier, I would need help with RESTConf and VES-Mapper updates
in Guilin from your team.

Below are open jira on these components -
RESTConf -
https://jira.onap.org/browse/DCAEGEN2-2293?jql=labels%20%3D%20dcae-restconf<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__jira.onap.org_browse_DCAEGEN2-2D2293-3Fjql-3Dlabels-2520-253D-2520dcae-2Drestconf&d=DwMFAg&c=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg&r=6WYcUG7NY-ZxfqWx5MmzVQ&m=II9QpYGtCoUemJBuuwTodaINx_n5ptRucsFmgl9Mlqo&s=H29r3U4rQOscyaDOUobCq0rzsqVNUQL2pHeSLIVVMsg&e=>
VES-Mapper -
https://jira.onap.org/browse/DCAEGEN2-2283?jql=labels%20%3D%20dcae-mapper<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__jira.onap.org_browse_DCAEGEN2-2D2283-3Fjql-3Dlabels-2520-253D-2520dcae-2Dmapper&d=DwMFAg&c=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg&r=6WYcUG7NY-ZxfqWx5MmzVQ&m=II9QpYGtCoUemJBuuwTodaINx_n5ptRucsFmgl9Mlqo&s=B-5SasvCwm9vUwA8KhfpxMFLiRkKd0mhXRn6AzJoDG4&e=>

>From Guilin standpoint, I would prioritize on following as below as these are
>mandatory TSC requirements.

  1. Java11 support
  2. Vulnerability removal
  3. Switching to onap recommended base image (DCAE jira to be created)

Failure to comply could risk in deprecating both these services which are
required for MDONS (REQ-325).

Can you please confirm if Fujitsu will be able to commit resource to support
these mandatory TSC requirement. If any issue though, please let me know asap
so I can discuss with TSC and plan DCAE/M1 commitments accordingly.

Thanks,
Vijay.
